Cash-outs (off-ramp)
How a signed-in person sends money out to M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Tills, PayBills and Kenyan banks.
Off-ramp is money leaving AutoPayKe for a phone or a bank: M-Pesa, Airtel Money, an M-Pesa Till (Buy Goods), a PayBill, and, soon, Kenyan banks. Recipients get Kenyan shillings, usually within minutes.
Where money can go
What it costs
A percentage of the amount with a small minimum, partner fees included. Quote it with product=cashout; see Fees and pricing for the live figures.

Today payouts are made from the AutoPayKe app (Send, Withdraw and Pay a Till or PayBill) and in bulk by cooperatives and businesses. Before each one the app shows the recipient's registered name, the rate, the fee and the exact shillings that arrive.
Creating payouts through the API, for platforms that pay out at volume, is available to partners. See Partner access. In the meantime you can already build the parts around it:
- Save and name-check recipients with Payout accounts.
- Show live prices and limits with Fees and Capabilities.
- Check what an account can withdraw with Balance.
Name checks
Before money goes to a number or account, AutoPayKe looks up the name it's registered to so the sender can confirm it. POST /api/v1/wallet/destinations/resolve-name does the same for you.
Kenyan bank payouts over PesaLink are built but not live yet. Bank accounts can be saved now; usableForWithdrawals on each tells you whether it can be paid today.
