Public endpoints

Check coverage and price a cash-out with no key at all.

Prerequisites

  • A terminal with curl, or Node.js 18+ or Python 3.9+.
  • Nothing else: the endpoints in this guide are public and need no key.

Call the API

  1. Check where you can pay out

    Ask for Kenya's live payout methods. The answer lists each method with its operators and the smallest and largest amount per transaction, in KES cents.

    curl "https://api.autopayke.com/api/v1/capabilities?country=KE&direction=payout"
  2. Price a cash-out

    Quote the fee for sending 40 USDC out to M-Pesa. You pass the amount in major units; everything in the response is in minor units.

    curl "https://api.autopayke.com/api/v1/fees/quote?product=cashout&amount=40&currency=USDC"
    Response
    {
      "ok": true,
      "data": {
        "product": "cashout",
        "currency": "USDC",
        "amount": "40000000",
        "fees": [
          {
            "code": "service_fee",
            "label": "Service fee",
            "amount": "1200000",
            "currency": "USDC"
          }
        ],
        "totalFee": "1200000",
        "total": "41200000",
        "placeholder": false,
        "settingsVersion": "2026-11-03T07:03:31.541Z"
      }
    }
  3. Read the result

    totalFee is 1,200,000 micro-USDC, which is 1.20 USDC: 3% of 40. placeholder: false means the price is final. Show your customer this number before they confirm.
