Quoting…

Off-ramp: cash out

Moving money out (to M-Pesa, Airtel Money, a Till or a PayBill) costs a percentage of the amount with a small minimum. The payout partner's own fee is paid out of that, not added on top. For a narrow band of small amounts the fee is raised by a fraction of a cent so it still covers the partner's cost; the quote always shows the exact figure.

  • The recipient gets the full amount you quoted. Fees are added to what leaves the sender's balance.
  • When a payout is re-priced at the moment it's sent and the recipient's amount would move by more than a small tolerance, the payout stops for review instead of paying a different amount.

Exchange rate

Converting between shillings and USDC uses the market rate with a published spread. The spread is in the rate, not a separate line: the rate you're quoted is the rate you get, for as long as the quote is valid.

On-ramp: top up

Top-up prices are published per method. While a method's price is still being set, the table says so and the fee is quoted before the customer confirms placeholder: true in a quote means exactly that.

Between AutoPayKe accounts

Sending to another AutoPayKe account costs at most the small network fee shown above; there's no percentage.

Never hard-code a price. Quote it with /fees/quote just before the customer confirms, and show the number you got back.
