Why withdraw to a bank instead of M-Pesa?

  • Larger amounts: bank transfers aren't capped at M-Pesa's per-transaction limit.
  • Savings and loans: move money straight into a SACCO or a savings account.
  • Business payments: pay suppliers and staff who are paid into a bank.
