Type A Number. Type An Amount. Done.

Pick someone from your phone's contacts (only if you allow it. The app asks first) or type any number. Enter an amount in USD and the recipient's local equivalent updates live, with the FX rate locked while you review. If they already use AutoPayKe, the funds land in their wallet near-instantly, on-chain.

If they don't, the money goes into the AutopayEscrow contract and they get an SMS or WhatsApp claim link. They tap it, verify their number and the funds settle to their mobile money. Unclaimed after 7 days, it is automatically refunded to you. This works today in Kenya, Ghana and Uganda, Nigeria's claim payout to bank is still being finished, so non-user claims aren't live there yet.

There is no recipient-name verification on any rail today. Always double-check the number before you confirm.

Every account gets a personal page with your phone number and a QR code anyone can scan to pay you. Download the QR for a shopfront, or copy your number in a tap and paste it into a chat.

When money arrives you get a push notification on your phone, and claim links go out by SMS or WhatsApp. Sign-in codes come by email, with SMS as a fallback.
